Net Metering & Solar Settlement

OpenVPP enables accurate, real-time tracking of distributed solar generation at the meter. Surplus production is tokenized and settled on-chain, with energy credits automatically applied to customer utility bills. This ensures transparent compensation and simplifies compliance with net metering regulations.

Demand Response Participation

Smart contracts allow customers to enroll in demand response programs.

Meter-verified load reductions are recorded on-chain and settled instantly

Using interval data from smart meters, utilities can verify customer
